Parking Exceptions in the Town of Milton

The Town of Milton does not offer long-term permit parking on Town streets. However, residents can request up to 25 parking exceptions per calendar year, per licence plate. These exceptions allow parking:

  • For more than five hours
  • Between 2 and 6 a.m.

Snow operations
Parking exceptions may be suspended at any time during snow-clearing operations. If this happens, all previously approved exceptions become invalid. You must not park on the street during this time. Vehicles must not block snow removal.


Ineligible vehicles
Exceptions are not granted for:

  • Commercial vehicles longer than 6.7 m or taller than 2.6 m
  • School buses or commercial coaches
  • Derelict vehicles, unlicensed vehicles and immobile trailers
  • Derelict, unlicensed, or immobile vehicles or trailers
